Blitz DNA Polymerase

Blitz DNA Polymerase is a chimeric protein consisting of Pfu polymerase and an Sso7d DNA-binding domain. This domain stabilizes the polymerase-template complex, increasing processivity, synthesis rate, fidelity, and stability under high ionic strength conditions. The enzyme catalyzes the template-dependent polymerization of nucleotides into duplex DNA in the 5’→3’ direction and also exhibits 3’→5’ exonuclease (proofreading) activity, that enables the polymerase to correct nucleotide incorporation errors. It has no 5’ exonuclease activity. This enzyme is suitable for all PCR applications requiring greater accuracy or long amplicons such as cloning, high-fidelity and long range PCR, NGS library preparation.
